Product designer and art director.
I fell in love with graphic design as a kid, staring at album covers and reading the inside sleeves front to back. That never left me. By 2019, in college, I was designing cover art and flyers for music artists.
My first internship, at Ovia Health, is where I found UX/UI, and where I fell for Sketch (look at us Figma babies now). Somewhere along the way I realized I couldn't separate graphic design from UX/UI. That's what pulled me into art direction and into building experiences that make people's lives a little easier.
I still do both, and it's shaped who I am as a designer. When you get Julian, you get someone who loves a challenge, whether that's an idea that doesn't exist yet or an old platform that needs modernizing. I'm not afraid of either. Open to full-time and contract roles with teams that want design with some personality in it.
Off the clock: chess, Sade, and a sneaker collection bigger than my portfolio (barely).
