SaveUp Finance Mobile App
Designed a finance app that merges budgeting, savings, and job search in one APP
I designed a multifunctional mobile app to help users achieve financial stability while advancing their careers. Guided by a user-centered design approach, the app integrates savings goals, budgeting tools, and career support features into a single, intuitive experience. The interface prioritizes clarity and ease of use, allowing users to manage their finances, track progress, and explore job opportunities with confidence.
Study the Competition, Then Outdo It
As a case study, research was everything. I started with a deep audit of leading investing and banking apps, CitizenBank, Fidelity, Bank of America, and others, analyzing onboarding flows, information hierarchy, and where they fell short for everyday users. That competitive analysis directly shaped every design decision throughout the project. Jira was used to organize feature priorities and track iterations, keeping the work structured from start to finish.

The Problem
Many users rely on separate tools for budgeting, saving, and job searching, resulting in fragmented experiences and difficulty maintaining financial momentum during career transitions. Existing solutions often feel overwhelming or lack guidance, making it challenging for users to set goals, stay motivated, and make informed financial decisions. The goal was to create a unified, approachable platform that reduces complexity and supports both financial and career growth.

The Solution
The existing platform presented challenges for users attempting to locate and interpret data due to its dense layout, limited filtering options, and inconsistent navigation. Non-technical users felt overwhelmed by raw data, while advanced users needed faster access to comparisons and insights. The goal was to reduce cognitive load, improve discoverability, and create an accessible system that could support a wide range of user needs and data-literacy levels.
